My name is Taylor Murry. I am an author, artist, and educator from Memphis, Tennessee. I remember being young and enamored with how imaginative children’s books were. Since I was little, I have wanted to be an author. I was a big dreamer and always believed my dreams would come into fruition no matter how extraordinary. In early 2023, I fell ill, was hospitalized, and had about a 4 month road to recovery. I had been wanting to publish a book, specifically of poetry since 2019, and being sick and reflecting on how fleeting and precious life is, I decided that I wanted to make that dream a reality. My first ever published book is titled “If Forever Was Only A Day” (a book of poetry), and my second, a children’s book, titled “Brush My Hair”, both illustrated and authored by me. I’m currently living in an answered prayer. I have been currently working on 2 children’s books that are apart of a series, and would like to have those published within the next year. I also plan on writing more books of poetry and creating a novel series in the near future! Thank you for following this journey, and I hope you stick along for the ride!
