About Me
My name is Taylor Murry, and I am an author, illustrator, artist, and educator from Memphis, Tennessee. Ever since I was a child, I have been drawn to the magic of books and the way stories can inspire, comfort, and connect people. Children’s books especially captured my heart early on, and from a young age, I knew I wanted to become an author.
A Life Changing Turning Point
In early 2023, my life took an unexpected turn when I became seriously ill and was hospitalized. After spending months recovering, I found myself reflecting deeply on life, purpose, and how precious time truly is. That season reminded me that dreams should not be put off, and it gave me the push I needed to finally pursue the dream I had carried in my heart for years, becoming a published author.
Books That Brought My Vision to Life
My first published book, If Forever Was Only A Day, is a collection of poetry that explores life, emotions, healing, and personal reflection. My second book, Brush My Hair, is a children’s book that I both wrote and illustrated, centered on love, family, self-care, and the special bond between generations. Bringing these books to life has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my journey.
