Every book begins somewhere, but not every book begins with purpose. For me, purpose matters from the start. I do not want to create something just to fill space. I want each project to carry meaning. I want it to reflect care, intention, and a clear reason for why it exists. That mindset shapes the way I approach my work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Purpose does not always have to be loud. Sometimes it is simple. Sometimes it looks like offering comfort. Sometimes it looks like helping a child feel seen. Sometimes it means giving words to emotions that readers may have struggled to name. A purposeful book does not need to be dramatic. It just needs to be honest and meaningful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I begin writing, I often think about what I want the reader to feel when they finish. Not just what I want them to know, but what I want them to carry. I think about whether the work leaves behind warmth, hope, reflection, or encouragement. I think about whether it respects the reader\u2019s heart and attention. That matters to me because books have the ability to leave a lasting impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is especially true when writing for children. Children deserve thoughtful books. They deserve stories that are kind, strong, and full of heart. They deserve language that helps them feel safe, loved, and valued. A children\u2019s book may appear simple on the surface, but creating one with purpose takes care. Every word matters. Every page matters. Every message matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The same is true for poetry and reflective writing. A poem does not need to be complicated to be powerful. It needs truth. It needs intention. It needs to come from somewhere real. I believe readers respond to that. They can sense when a piece was written with care and when it was written without it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Purpose also keeps me grounded as a writer. It reminds me that creative work is not just about expression. It is also about service. It is about offering something useful, meaningful, or memorable to the people who read it. That perspective helps me stay focused on what truly matters rather than chasing what is temporary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I continue writing, I want every project to reflect that same standard. I want the work to have depth. I want it to be sincere. I want it to honor the reader\u2019s time and trust. Most of all, I want it to come from a place of purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
